Camelon

Camelon adjoins Falkirk on the west and is a growing community with many surprises along its lengthy high street, mainly of local independent traders.

The village is overlooked by The Falkirk Wheel. The Forth & Clyde canal wynds towards the end of its journey and there are many interesting picnic points and places to eat and relax. Dollar Park is close by to the east and Xtreme Karting to the north. Camelon also has the Mariner Centre, an indoor swimming complex with its adjoining 10 pin bowling centre. A Roman fort and archaeological remains are also to be found in Camelon.

The Best Western Park Hotel is closeby on the west side of Falkirk and there are several bed and breakfast options available.

Falkirk is a very short bus ride, and Camelon also has a rail-link north-south-east and west.
