Grangemouth (population 17,000) is located on the Firth of Forth, 3 miles east of Falkirk, and with direct motorway access, it is only a short drive to the cities of the East and West and the towns and villages to the North including Stirling and the villages of the Ochil Hills and Fife.
Renowned for its inland port and support for the oil services industry, Grangemouth became establish in the late 18th century as canal traffic to the River Forth increased. Today it continues to expand as a location for businesses of all sizes.
The town marks the end of the Forth & Clyde canal as it joins the Carron River leading to the Forth itself. Grangemouth has several parks, including Zetland Park and the Jupiter Urban Wildlife Area.
