Stenhousemuir (population 10,000) lies c. 3 miles to the north of Falkirk. It is a residential town and adjoins Larbert to the west and Carron and Carronshore to the east. It has excellent transport links to both Falkirk and Stirling.

Accommodation comprises several bed and breakfast establishments and the lively town centre mainly comprises independent local stores.

Stenhousemuir has strong sporting links with its cricket club and a senior football team.
